La Chaussee is a beautifully renovated farm set deep in the rolling green countryside of the Allier department in Central France.
As well as being home to Footsbarn Travelling Theatre these past 30 years, La Chausse is also a venue and arts centre with a theatre, rehearsal studios, meeting rooms, office space, a bar and a café. We have accommodation for up to 30 people and a 500-seater big top tent as well as a 300-seater marquee venue. We offer regular workshops and residencies as well as performances and our annual Festival, Footsbarn en Fete.
