La Petite Gerda

La Petite Gerda

(D’apres Hans Christian Anderson)

Nouvelle Création Footsbarn Travelling Theatre

In a brand new adaptation of a fairy tale classic,  Footsbarn Travelling Theatre brings this beautiful story of initiation, separation and return, to the stage, with their trademark, rich and colourful style of inventive masks, puppetry, object theatre and original music and song.  This is set to be a visual feast and a gripping journey for all the family.

Little Gerda and little Kay live with their ageing Grandmother, Babushka, in a small but cosy caravan, as part of the beloved travelling circus, Tanglefoot. But when Kay is taken by the mesmeric Queen of the Snow, Gerda must rescue him and take him home.

How will Gerda find the way to the Snow Queen’s Kingdom, and escape the enchanted gardens? Will the river show her the way?  Or will the kindly singing crow help her? And what about the robbers that live in the forest, are they really her friends? Maybe the reindeer knows the way to the snow queen’s palace, but can she set him free?

Join Gerda on her epic journey, where she will discover a courage that she never knew she had, and make some very unusual friends in the process.
